Why Qlik + Alt + Tab? I have been working for over 20 years in the Business Intelligence, Data Analysis and Management Space. Riding the first wave of Data Warehouses, Data Marts and traditional Business Intelligence tools. Namely these where Relational RBDMs Data warehouses (e.g. Oracle and SQL Server) and tools like Business Objects and Cognos. Over the years these once state of the art tools and approaches have begun more and more to be seen as Legacy and dated with the onset of the Big Data Hadoop Hype cycle, The Data Science hype cycle and the current adoption and prevalence of Cloud technologies. In the last 5 years I have got very impressed with three tools in particular; Qlikview/QlikSense, Alteryx and Tableau. Just as a PC can get bloated and run slowly over a period of time and needs a reboot to get it to work properly again.
